Loving, Understanding, Imaginative: The L.U.I. in Practice

The first half of my name, L.U.I., is where my heart lives.

Loving. Love is my starting point, not an afterthought. It shows up in how I collaborate, how I speak to people online and how I approach the work. If it doesn't come from care, I'd rather not put it out.

Understanding. Everybody has a story you can't see from the outside. Listening before reacting has made me a better teammate, a better artist and a better leader. Understanding doesn't mean agreeing with everyone. It means taking the time to see where they're coming from.

Imaginative. This is the creative engine. Imagination is what lets a person picture a studio that doesn't exist yet, a song that hasn't been written or a platform no one has built. Every project I've started began as an idea that felt a little too big.

Put together, these three words are my creative compass. When I'm stuck, I ask three questions: Is this coming from love? Do I understand the people it's for? Is it original enough to be worth making?

If the answers are yes, I keep going.
